For safety reasons, families in the past have left their porch light on the entire night. Even thought this may seem like a good idea, there is a large amount of time when the light is useful to no one. We suggest that to save a little on your electricity bill, you should get a motion detector. This way the light is only one when someone or something big enough goes by it.
